OT Red Max gas wed trimmer

I've got one over 25 years old and have had to put a carb on it last year along with a new piston ring. Also had to replace string head a few years ago. Best trimmer I've ever owned or used. Don't know about the newer models.

In the mid 80s I bought a Homlite 17" trimer for $125 At an Ames store It has never failed, I have replaced several string heads only, even has the originol spark plug. It always amazes me when I take it down off the wall push the primer bulb several times and it starts right up even on last yrs. gas. This yr. my finger got wet when pushing the bulb and it wouldn't start, the bulb was split so I went on line looked up Homelite trimmer parts and found a primer bulb for $3.00 even had a video showing how to change it shipping was more than the part.It started right up with the new bulb. Just goes to show that sometimes you get lucky even with a lesser brand and at a lower level store.

Yes very good, japanese coumpany bought out a few years ago buy husqvarna and jonsered. Most are comercial modles Only bad problem is the price!!!!! (they are not home owner for $99) A good jonsered/husky dealer can service them. They are not well know in every area. hope this helps.

That's all I buy in trimmers and backpack blowers. Pretty good machines. The mid sized backpack is a great deal for the money
