I ordered 7 of those things from Amazon. They look just like the ones in the trailer. They arrived today. I installed one, and it did not light up when I pressed the switch. I tested two more, and they would not work, either. I"m repacking the whole order and returning it. Does anybody know of a source for LED lights that work?

A local truck stop will have what you need. I use this on all of my trailers so when I'm on the road and have a problem I can get parts.

Thanks for those replies. I had not considered looking at a truck stop. Also, I guess it's possible I was trying to connect them backwards. I'll try the other way and see what happens.

Well, I went back and tested these backward and forward, but it didn't make any difference. They don't work. I think they are just more Chinese junk.

NAPA has some VERY bright spot lights in store. They are almost 60 bucks each but man are they bright!!!!!

I put a couple of these in the forward cabin on my boat to replace some 20W halogen lights. Seems like I get almost the same amount of light and they only draw about a quarter of an amp each. I've had no problems with them, they've been on my boat for about a year. Boat is in saltwater, but that's not important as the cabin is dry.

Thanks to all for the replies. One post referred to tower bulbs, and I did not know what that meant. So I went to eBay and looked through the ads. There they were. I ordered four to replace some of the heat-producing incandescent bulbs. The ones I ordered have 42 SMD. They are just right to replace the lights that were there. I'm happy.
