milton Tire Gauge.

My Milton tire gauge of a sudden is way off on the pressure reading. Is that something I can fix myself. I noticed it had a large screw that comes out. thanks

I've never taken one apart, but at this point you have nothing to loose...

Milton is good about supplying repair parts, here's a site to look at.

What you see is a plug.Once you take it out you'll figure it out. Also if the scale is worn you can spin it around to a new one. It's been a long time but if I remember the cost of a kit wasn't worth not replacing the hole thing. My buddy paid $28.00 for one at the Four States Show last week.Good Luck.

You better buy a new I guess. There are a lot of affordable tire gauge in amazon like Michelin, Accutire, Longacre and Mountain Crest Products Premium Tire Gauge. As for me, I've used two of these products before. First is Michelin then followed by Mountain Crest Tire Gauge. If you're looking for a price below $40, you can go and buy that Mountain Crest Tire Gauge. It has a lot of features and tools included with it at an affordable price.

BTDT best I member' once you remove the slotted head screw and the seal you can remove the cylinder and turn in are out on the slotted screw to adjust spring pressure... Mine read high leaving me low on the actual pressure I turned it in to get it accurate...
Take it apart nuttin to it you will see what you need to do...

I'd contact Milton and see if they offer any repair service. A really good gauge, or any good tool for that matter, can often be fixed. I'd rather have the trusty old tool than the "maybe it will work" new tool. I know Bernzomatic offers repairs on theor torches and I have 3 to send in. Same type of thing.
