Wagner (or similar bramd) for picket fence

I have a picket fence (boards about 3" wide) to paint. Can this be accomplished with a Wagner (or similar brand) of sprayer? I'm looking at two or more weeks work to paint it with a brush.
Thanks.

I used one years ago . It painted ok , but was so heavy I couldn't use it after about 20 min ....

Buy a middle of the road priced airless with 1/2 hp electric motor and piston pump. With a 50 foot hose you can paint 90 feet without moving sprayer. I spray then go over it with a brush or small roller to get good coverage. it is a little tricky but you can do it. Some stores will rent a sprayer which may be a good idea for you. Or buy one and sell it when you are done with it. I liked the model with wheels that you can hook a 5 gallon pail onto and just wheel it along when you need to move. You often can do top bottom and one side then move to other side of fence for the last side. Pretty fast and simple once you get to doing it.

I painted my whole house with Wagner sprayers . The only good thing is I got them used so it was cheap. I remember drilling out nozzles and having to use a flow enhancer or the paint will eat the spray nozzle tips. After you spray the Wagner you need to brush stroke out the paint anyway to work it into the wood. Get a good brush ,sit on a bucket and start stroking. I would call the Wagner a homeowner quality tool -- not a professional tool.

Can't argue about quality I have a 7/8 hp Wagner that cost close to 500.00 and a professional Spray tech with 1 1/4 hp motor that cost about 3,000.00. both will give me the same quality job but the 3,000.00 outfit can be used with two guns and has outlasted two Wagner's like I described.
But I could have bought 6 Wagners for the price of the commercial Sprayer so it is what you want to do. The cheap Wagners were diaphragm type pumps and won't last very long. The 1/3rd hp Wagner was the cheapest that would spray Latex unthinned and you still had a small tip with a very small filter. Sprayer tips and filters will make or break any spraying system. You can buy wide band or narrow band tips and different size tips based on gallons per minute. Buying a tip to big for the sprayer won't work as you run out of capacity of the pump. To small and it will plug.
.13, .15, .17, .19 .21 are common sized tips. Adjust pressure to get a good pattern without fogging. If you loose the pattern clean the filter. You can do slat fencing just hold the gun at the correct angle to the fence to get the most paint on the wood rather then between the slats. It takes a little practice but it can be done.

Get some quotes from professional painters. They have the equipment and experience to get things done very efficiently and at a reasonable cost.
