John Deere 4640 Transmission problems

Don't have gears 1-4 forward....Is it possibly something other than clutch packs?....checked some pressures...seem ok but....not sure if forward 7 is working...in same group or cluster

There are some transmission wizards on the JD section of this
site.
Was the injection pump dialed up? Number of hours?
Ballasted duals? Sudden fault or gradual? Do you have the
service manual?

have the service manual.I just purchased this tractor with this problem.the odometer says 2847 hoursbut it may have turned over.it is a PowerShift transmission.are you talking about the hydraulic pump or does it have an injection pump?ballasted duals?
