Being from down along the Ohio river, when we were in school we used to say they taught the 3
Rs Reading, Riting, and the road to Columbus. (that's where all the work was back then) IN fact there still isn't any in this area to speak of. Just my thoughts, Keith

great idea, We seem to have a few chip clips given out as promotional gifts but just in case I run out I'll head to a closet. Thanks

Never thought of that. We use a lot of the spring type clothes pins. I use them instead of twist ties on about everything. Closes a loaf of bread in a jiffy. Candy bags or freezer stuff. We've always got 12-15 in the drawer.

What do you think is in the potato chip bag? (Sorry I couldn't resist that one, lol) That is a novel idea, hadn't thought of reusing a hanger that way.

I keep meaning to cut a piece of romex to close chip bags. It is an idea I saw on an inventor tv show.Maybe I should just check the closets for what you did .

I use an impulse sealer that I got for 25 or 30 off of ebay. The trick is you have to have it plugged in and ready to use near where you consume or where you store your chips, etc. If you have to dig it out and plug it in you will never use it. Mine sits on top of my paper shredder right across the hall from my pantry.
Takes just a couple of seconds to seal the bag again and no air in or out and no clips to store when not on a bag.

Hello bill in in,

The answer is.................... INSIDE THE BAG!
After you finish the chips. No moth balls needed HA! HA!

Hello rd n2 in mo,

Chips last a bit longer here. You are right! You don't have to eat them......ALL AT ONA YIME!

I re-use my empty cereal boxes and those tought, water proof, plastic liners to put homeade soups into the FREEZER.

Let the soup cool off first.
Also grat for freezing green beans, fresh outta the garden. Ham and bean soup tastes GGRREEAAT!

Easy to stack. And, just take the whole box of soup along to work. John,PA

Hello John, PA

That is a good idea! NOW.... if I can only get to like cereal a lot.
Here is another 3 R's. Recharge, Reuse, Recycle,

Your picture shows more "cell" batteries than I ever bought in my lifetime.

My dad showed me this trick a long, long time ago.

CAUTION: do this when there is ABSOLUTELY no one around the shop! TOO DANGEROUS even to be seen doing such a thing:

With a 12 volt battery......put the 1 1/2 volt battery in series until it gets to the right temperature in your hand. Note: Experience will tell YA when it is WARM enough.

Then the 11/2 volt battery should be recharged for another life. If the Everyeady will not re-charge.......the "cat" finally died.

I want to re-inerate: ALLOW NO ONE TO WATCH THIS PERFORMANCE. Friends and family have a way to overprotect, these days.

John,PA

Hello John,PA,

I have done that with a$100 NiCad race pack!
I was careful, still have it. I probably have twice as many NICADs as you see on the picture.
Been Recharging them for decades. Those in the picture are NiMh batteries, More are in use,

Guido.
