good for weeding

I believe those were marketed un der the "Hula hoe" moniker. Weren't too bad on weeds in loose dirt. Sometimes wish I had one.

Yep they are called a Hula Ho.

Works good for weeding and scraping up stuff stuck
to a concrete floor also.

I've used that style of hoe for years, love it. Wife hates it, won't use it. She prefers an old rounded hoe she found at a garage sale. To each their own.

Ever since I started putting a layer of newspaper between the rows in my garden and covering that with shredded pine bark, I have 95% less weeds. Then at the end of the season, just rototill it all in, makes black dirt.

About as simple as simple gets to make--I made one several years ago for a buddy's kids from a power hacksaw blade and it's still going strong. Had to anneal the bends but it's held up fine.

i have 2 of em. work great. you need to sharpen yours. bring it by, i'll put an edge on it for ya!!!

"Action Hoe" they don't hoe without a little action from the person on the other end of the handle. I have one of those rusting away, somewhere. wasn't worth a flip. Nothing like a plain old fashioned garden hoe!

I had one of those, did not like it. I eventually used the handle out of it in something else and threw the head in the scrap pile.
