Hello,

I am running windows 7, and looking for a cleaning tool. Many files that are using up space and not needed. There are MANY out there! Any recommendations?

CCleaner is the obvious one but PrivaZer is much more thorough. Both free by the way

Hello greygoat,

I do the same, temp files are not deleted by security essentials. Been bugged a couple of times, security essentials did nothing to stop it!
I do run a spyware program as well,

Be aware that many of those cleaning tools and anti-spyware downloads will possibly cause the very problems you are trying to eliminate. Just go with a very good anti-virus program and be done with it. Also, be very careful about opening emails from parties whom you do not know. Basically, if you do not know the person or company, just mark it as read and hit delete.

Hello rustyfarmall,

That is why I asked the question. I had a virus program that worked,(malwarebytes). I will see if my computer geek still recommends it. My e-mail is set to zero tolerance. I only put in the list the ones I know. By the way, there is nothing on this computer that would be of monetary value to anyone!
