What can you take on an airplane

It's a nightmare, but here are the two major problems with air travel.

The over-riding one is the tsa rules on "safety" which require us to take off our shoes in most places and walk through a metal detector and/or submit to a patdown and/or xray and use small sized packages of liquids.

The second in the airlines' new rules on luggage size. Look on the TSA website for the things you can and cannot take on the plane. Scissors are a problem. Look on the airline's website for their current rules and charges on baggage.

Check with both the Airline, & all Airports You plan on going through. I flew Delta back in October, & they had a lot of information; BUT warned of checking Airport procedures less than 24 hours before the flight. Things can & do change overnight!

In March this year, I flew from Indy to Vagus. The TSA puts the old gray hairs in a different line. Never had to take off shoes, no x-ray, didn't remove belt, didn't remove bathroom, meds and stuff from bag like I've done in past. Same on return flight. However they did look harder at younger people.

You're limited to 3 oz. containers of liquid, and all must be in a plastic bag. Yogurt comes in 3.2 oz. containers. He11 hath no fury like my wife watching her airplane breakfast going in the TSA trash can.

Guy went through our luggage. Unfolded everything, looked in all the pockets, etc. Took out a plastic container of hand-wipes, set it aside, then when he was done, carefully placed it back in the suitcase without ever unscrewing the top, or investigating it in any way. It would have held enough C4 to blow the plane out of the sky.

Son in law works for TSA. They say that's short for "thousands standing around."
