JB Weld Auto Body Patch Adhesive??

I am doing a little touch up body work on my Chevy pickup. Rear fender had an approx 6 x 2 inch area with "swiss cheese" holes, (I sandblasted the area). I do not want to weld in this area due to warpage. Will JB Weld hold a small patch in place? I will cut out damaged metal first.

Thank you glennster. I will get some. Final hole is about 1.3 x 12 inches along rear wheelwell on '88 Chevy. I have good steel all around tbe rust hole. Should I somehow try to glue patch from the inside? I would have to drill a couple holes in the patch & pull it out with some hooks. It would make tbe body work easier, but I'm not sure I can do it with no rear access. What would you do?

If you are unsure of it, you could always drill it for rivets, dimple the holes and pop rivet it into place with the panel adhesive. Just a couple of extra steps,but the vibration won't tear it loose, and you won't have to worry about heat warping the metal.

Not cheap though, need a $57 gun and some $2 tips as well as the semm.
 
Had to do a repair on a transfer case years ago.
As I got out from under the truck I accidentally got a dime size smear of JB weld on the side of the dirty box, did not notice until the next day.
Six years later went to repaint the truck and had to work long and hard with a sander to remove it.
So in my opinion it sticks like you know what to a blanket.
 
I knew a man who repaired bullet holes in aluminum siding using JB weld. He sanded it and painted over it. Looks great.
