Driveway coating

I believe there is more bang for the buck filling cracks. If you know someone who works for the city, county or state road department, ask them for sources of seal coat. Don't pay what the government pays.

Hello Ted in NE-OH,
Buy the cheapest you can get, and do a tin coat. Repeat as needed. When you go and buy the product, make sure the cans are from the same batch. If not, you will have a shaded surface. Best way to prevent that is to mix all the product in one container,

Guido.

I spent several years seal-coating driveways and parking lots. You want coal tar. Do not use an asphalt based product as gas and oil will eat through it. Add a bag of play sand to each 100 gallons of seal coat. Fill all cracks with a crack filler from Home Depot or Loews. Ellis
