Ware Well Producing Water

Hello,

Just wanted to update my post on the well.
The switch was pretty bad, So it was replaced. The water pressure had dropped to zero. It apparently has a bad bladder, as the water was drained form the tank it started to produce pressure. Added air to the tank, and set the pressure 30# on 50# off. He will need to get a new tank, which he ordered today.
I'll post later when that happens. That is all is been done so far, at least he got water now.

Guido.

Guido, when you added air to the tank you were just inflating the bladder...bladders do leak down over time..maybe just needed airing up afterall...keep us posted

Hello Michael soldan,

No.... the bladder must have a lot of water in it. But only air came out when I put the pressure back to 28#? Didn't make much sense then, but emptying all the water out of the tank and putting in some air made it work. Its now working like a tank with no bladder, but the tank will have be replaced,

Guido.

I had the same problem a couple of years ago, pump was short cycling. I aired it up and it worked normal for awhile. Once I was sure it was bad I replaced it, 4.5 years old, 5 year warrantee!

Hello Guido,
I have a tank with a leaky bladder that will work but need air occasionally. Instead of replacing it I just put in a second tank, use both. I can tell when the old tank needs air.

IMHO, you can't have too big of a bladder tank.

George

Hello George Marsh,

Here is the tank we are going to use. Just got delivered today,

Guido
