Hello Charles,

Yes. It is in the Rome province/region, but closer to Naples. 130 meters above sea level. There are palm trees and even dates that grow there. I mostly miss the weather and the fruits right off the trees! The town is actually between Anzio and Montecassino. The later less the 1 hour drive,

That area was one of the bloodiest of WWII. My father was in the middle of it. I bet you have seen plenty of war scars and stuff around that area.

Yes! Those with missing limbs were the lucky ones.
Lost one of my friend to an unexploded ordinance. We were both 14 going to the same school. He was trying to get the precious metal out of the bomb for scrap. We used to go to the farmers fields after they had plowed, to get unearthed scrap from the war to sell for pocket money. He took it home. That is were it went off! My town was 3 clicks from the Gustav like. Heavy fighting there,
