Vintage Kay Guitar Update

I just got off the phone with Lloyd of Lloyd's Guitars. He says my rear-most tuner (closest to the bridge) is dead. He will be sending it out for repair/re-winding. Complete job--pickup repair, clean up all electronics, true up neck, install two strap buttons, and install a new set of strings is estimated at $150. It's gonna take a while as he is sending the pickup out to a guy in South Carolina.

It may be a month or so, but there's no rush. It's been sitting in the rafters of my shop for years.

Just thought some of you would be interested.

Glenn,

Glad you are getting it fixed for what seems like a very reasonable cost, but I am no expert in this area.

It is always good to see something get a new lease on life.
