Ultrasonic cleaners

Anybody using one? I'm itchin' to get one for carb work, wondering what I need and what to expect. Would like to get into one large enough for a 4-barrel. Main use right now would be small Honda carbs. They are not real cheap once you start talking 4 or 5 gallon size so I would just as soon get it right the first time, or at the very least avoid any monumental blunders. Thanks

I have a small one which will hold a small carburetor, after soaking a carb in carb cleaner (the kind in a gallon can with dip basket) and after making sure all passages are fairly clean I put the carb in the ultrasonic cleaner & use enough lacquer thinner to cover the carb, Turn on the unit & let it run for an hour or so if I need to turn any carb parts over like carb bowl / throttle body than I turn the unit on again for a hour or so more. Carbs come out really clean & does a better job than just soaking a carb. Dave F
