So I had to break down and get some new work boots the old ones are getting worn out and coming apart and sneakers dont quite make it at work. I wear a size 15 so its not like I can find shoes just anywhere, I headed over to black earth and found some Danners at the Shoe Box (I am not affiliated with these people in any way) Good store nice people lotsa shoes I think it was worth it to spend a little more and get some quality boots because after ten hours of running around on cement it is a long day

Dahnners

great boots and company

when I found the 13 wide not accurate,

it was through process of persistence and customer service that makes them fit like Italian slippers

Quarry that's my style

Hey do you guys(or lady's) have problems with laces....?? After I buy a new pair of boots the laces last about 3-4 months then I use paracord ...the paracord lasts a good long time but they keep coming loose ....any suggestions ??

I wear Chippewa loggers and I take the laces out of them and put leather laces in them. I find if you treat leather laces they last longer than anyting else.

Danners are very good boots.Sign up for their email and get some good deals on the larger size shoes/boots.

Well I am going to poo poo on this one. Back in the early 90 I bought Danners. Expensive but fell head over heals in love with them. Bought three pairs over the years. They stopped making regular boots and only made hike type boots. Early last year I found they were making regular boots again. Bought them from their web sight and found they are made in China. The heels on the back corner wore in about six months and took them to a shoe shop and had new heels put on. So far they are ok. These are NOT the great Danners I had before but what can y type=hidden name=

I find the heels wear well.

It was after chinaization that the model and fit dissapeared

it was my personal interest along with champion customer care

I just got back in them from winter

I am different now

I can walk
stand
lounge
or polish em and strut

they're comfy

I bought a pair of water proof insulated Daners, three months later I had to have them rebuilt, soles and heals. The best I have found were Carolina Loggers, I got two years with one rebuild out of the last pair.
The newest set is four weeks old.

Tie them with the army rangers knot, they will stay tied.

unfortunatly I feel it is the same with most products. cheaper construction, and higher prices, then lower overall quality after moving production off shore

I bought a pair of Carhartt work boots - no laces, just pull them on and off.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I love the boots, but I'm very happy with them so far.

They've remained waterproof so far, and given how I use them, that impresses me.

But - my main point is - I'm not sure I could ever go back to boots with laces now.

Love coming in from a long day and just sliding them off without even having to bend over.

(quoted from post at 14:18:30 04/15/14) Ok I,ll bite what's an army ranger knot ???

When you go to make the second loop of the regular bow knot, instead of pulling it out as usual, you bring it around and bring it through a second time and then pull it out, and tighten.
