'95 Buick Regal Trim....Hen's Tooth Shopping

Is there a source for NOS GM trim? I'm looking for a piece
of trim for the passenger rear dog leg on our 2995 Buick
Regal. It is no longer available from GM, says our local
dealer. Struck out at five good area junkyards too.

Any tips on where I could find one?

Thank you,
Glenn F.

There is a place that buys up obsolete inventory. Car dealers usually have the contact info for them as they only sell to dealers. I forget the name of them.

Glenn, If you have the OEM Part number from GM, your Dealer can check some NOS Companys that may have it.Just as Glenn and Mike said.

Hopefully your Dealer already checked for you. If not and they don't offer to help, give me number and I will check for you.

I don't know about GM. but a few years ago,
Ford initiated a program to help dealers sell their obsolete parts. If you had a customer with a need, you put it on the computer and any dealer holding said part could respond with his price. Some parts people just don't want to go to the trouble to find out.

Have a dealer check with V.P.I., Vintage Parts Incorporated, they buy the GM modern obsolete parts. They only sell to dealers and repair shops, they don't sell retail.

I called GM Obsolete (thanks Glennster). They do not have one. I called the dealer back for the parts number. They said no number is listed for it. Simply no longer available. I may dig a little deeper for a part number, but so far I'm at zero.

Thank you to each of you,
Glenn F.

Glenn, if there"s a body shop around that still has some hardcopy estimating manuals going back that far, the factory part numbers are shown in those guides.
