Does anyone out there have a picture of or that cab draw a picture of the midst tool referenced in the manual for that model ford? I'm trying to duplicate that tool to be able to adjust my lift. Or if anyone knows a thread count for the adjustment turn buckle that would give me a starting point. Thank you for any info.

as jmor and texas have demonstrated.. it's a calibrated piece of metal used for measuring.

You can use alternatoe procedures for measurment and accomplish the same task.

occasionally you can actually find one for sale.

i thinkt he one I have is for the NAA lift.

Proper use of the Nuday 502 tool below requires proper positioning of the lift arms. Another Nuday tool was made for this purpose. This tool is even more difficult to find.

Satisfactory (nearly identical) results can be achieved without special tools if one carefully follows the alternative procedures in the I & T manual. The key is replacing all worn parts beforehand and properly positioning the lift arms.

I would be interested in buying a set if someone would fabricate reproductions of the 2 Nuday tools needed to adjust vintage Ford lift covers.

Perhaps Dan (TOH) might be interested. He is certainly capable.

we might be able to ask around and see who has what for patterns.

I'm pretty sure i have the NAA nuday tool.. i know i have heard others with some nuday tools.

Thanks JMOR. I have most all the Nuday Tools I purchased from an old Ford Dealer friend when he went out of business.Including 2 clutch fixtures. The tool to pull the seats out of the piston hydraulic pumps and much more.I also have all the original Ford parts manuals. I think I treasure the Govenor fixture for the N series best of all.
