Schramm Pneumapower 100 Compressor

Just picked this compressor up and was hoping someone might have a manual for sale. Im looking for operator, parts, repair manuals. OR if someone can tell me, if its possible, where to boost the pressure a little. It runs at 100psi now. would like to see 120psi. Thanks in advance!

Yup. If I remember correctly they were made not to far from Philadelphia,PA. If I were you that 100lb pressure should be left alone. The one you have is where they use one half of the engine as the compressor? It is pretty much max as it WILL go higher and you will end up beatin the crap out of the bearings. BEEN there done that. One of my dads friends did that and sand blasted a large truck frame for a friend. Didn"t make it to the end of the job! Pounded out the bearings and not much left of the crank. My .o2 but I would leave it alone. Does it work real well? Pump up in less than one minute? Jeffcat

Schramm may be able to email you a manual. I don"t know if they will have that old. I"d ask them. I had them email me close to 400 pages just a few months ago. Owners and parts manuals for a 70"s model drill rig. No charge.

I have always wanted a Schramm PneumaTractor. Schramm made some neat old rigs.Should be an adjustable regulator on it somewhere. Raising the pressure will probably lower the CFMs though.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the compressor runs really good. 4 cylinder block, 1&4 are the power cyls and 2&3 are the air cyls. After it warms for a few seconds, hit the air switch and within 5 sec or less the gauge is at 100lb. The engine is idling while its pumping up. Havnt had it running very long. I want to get the battery squared away better so it doesnt come off the makeshift holder.

Oil filters? yeah i could use a few. let me know what you want for them.

I already called Schramm. They were a little less than helpful. Didnt want the model number. "We dont support those compressors anymore." And I asked about possible archives. "Umm, well, I think alot has been deleted." That may be possible since it seems like they want to focus on the drill rigs.
I dont understand why they would say this unit is "old". The date stamp on the tank says 1984 as the mfg date. Heck, thats my newest piece of equipment to date! I saw a brochure online that says they were made from about 1979 to 84.

The filter I have is a Baldwin C-78-P. Look in their online catalogue to see if it's the one you need ,You can contact me off the board .

84 or 85 was the last year they made compressors. I have parts and manuals. give me a call.

Thanks for the help everybody. I was able to get with Jim and got the Operator and Parts Manuals. As far as Im concerned, manuals are money well spent.

Some people suggested calling Schramm, which I did. THEY actually gave me Jim's number (after Jim already contacted me) and said they have NO INFORMATION. SO, Dont bother with them. JUST CALL JIM! Really nice guy to deal with too!
---Thank You Jim!---
