Wanted: 6 Peterson Brand Vice Grip

It seems I will never see my 6" Peterson brand vice grip
again, (I think it was a 6"). It was by far my favorite tool in
the box. I have given up hope of finding it snapped to the
undercarriage of one of my many vehicles around here.

I know they have been out of production for a few years
now. Unlikely, but do any of you know of any hardware
store, etc. that may still have one?

I would be willing to pay a fair bit to have one of those
gems in my toolbox again.

Thank you,
Glenn F.

A 6" would be a little tiny one. Start checking pawn shops and flea markets, they sold a lot of them.
The new ones are really not that bad of a tool even made in China, they are better than the alternatives.

I know where there are some but I'm a long way away. Check with places like welding supplies or older hardware stores that aren't real big on hand tools. The early Irwin ones were still made in the US and the same as Petersen.

I know where there is several, but they hold down the cover on the air cleaner on my pickup. The screws failed, so I had the small vice grips handy and that is what I used. probably not the best deal as they have collected some rust.
