And here i thought my Dodge was cold in the winter . One thing for sure is i will not be ordering one of them since i get like a reptile when temps drop . I like Warmth and that is one thing my Dodge does not give me .

Vet, what year is your Dodge. I have an '86 and an '08 and both are hot. '01 was too. Is the engine getting up to temp? Mine are/were all gassers.

I saw the commercial with it. What a CROCK! They're trying to show how good their batteries are starting a cold engine but they brought a warm battery out, stuck in the truck and voila, it started. Leave the truck and battery in -40 and then see how well it starts.

I did not know anything about the ad for the battery
I just thought the ice truck was neat, to make a truck body of ice blocks had to take some skill.

Kind of like that ice hotel or ice castle that I think is in Canada, or was in Canada. Mother nature I would guess takes it back every summer.

I saw that. I missed the first part of the commercial. However, the truck wasn't chilled to -40 so it's still a crock. It only has to be below freezing to not melt the ice and I doubt the sculptors were working in -40. Also when the battery is hooked up, there's a small load for keeping the computer, clock, etc, running.

Yeah, I know it's a crock but it's still a good advertising gimmick. Gets people like us talking about how stupid it is and then even more people look at it.
Cheers Martin

this truck was built about 20 minutes north of me, from what I heard, this was actually the second version of the truck. The first one, believe it or not, had over heating issues because lack of air flow.

Boy what some people can think up! That is pretty cool and I like all of the locals cheering it on. Lots of fun. Just think; back in 1930/31 a company that made stainless steel and Henry Ford built a couple of Model "A" cars that had all stainless bodies. It was in an issue of Model "A" Restorer several years ago. Looked like it was from Back to the future. When the promotion was all over they got painted black and sold as a normal car. I think the article said one had been found and the guy put it back to a stainless restoration. Neat!
