O/T Red Wing boot Recall

Per Monday evening TV: Red Wing Shoe Co, is
recalling 134,000 pairs of steel safety toe boots.
They were found unsafe for dropped objects.
Red Wing will give replacement Boots.

What will they do with 134,000 used boots? Throw them all away? Seems like this could bankrupt them.

I would presume that they would ship them to
a 3rd world country, where there are no safety
standards. I'll bet that a lot of our U.S.
recalled products goes to unscrupulous overseas
resellers.

134,000 pairs of boots is a drop in the bucket for Redwing. They'll probably punch a big hole in the soles and discard them.
