I've got an old Honda E3500 generator that I need to make a gasket for but can't find the material. The gasket is the one behind the lever that you turn the gas on and off with. It's no longer available but looks easy enough to make if I can find the material. It looks like 1/8" black neoprene. Anybody know who sells thi type of material? Thanks.

Cork used to be the standard, but I have seen gas with ethanol cause the cork to swell up and separate. I would ask the oldest guy behind the counter at an auto parts store!

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I found a neoprene sheet at Lowes used for making plumbing packings. It's close to the same thickness and I'm going to try that and see if it will work. Again thanks.I've got alot of help from you good people on this site over the years and if somebody on this site don't have an answer to your questions you don't need to be asking it!
