Ted in NE-OH said: (quoted from post at 21:29:25 11/28/13) NAPA has a gallon paint can with carb cleaner in it and a basket for small parts. It can be closed while soaking so it does not evaporate.

I have and use this same stuff, seems to work pretty well. I recommend nitrile gloves as you do not want to get this stuff on your hands.
Someone over on the Ferguson forum has said they use toilet bowl cleaner with great results. Not for use with aluminum or rubber/plastic parts though. I've seen pictures and I would try it. Once I'm done with my can from Napa that is.

That was me that uses toilet bowl cleaner Best thing in the world for old cast iron carbs, brass, etc, but no aluminum because it will cook it because of the chemical reaction.

Sorry Jason, I thought it might have been you but didn't want to say it unless I was wrong. I'll remember next time.
