Just remember the pain in the neck people at your dinner table or the relatives you realy do not want to see. Well this is the first Thanksgiving that they are all gone. My sister lives over 3 1/2 hours away and she goes to my nephues folks. I have to work today so It is just me and my cat. Have them near while you can. Jeffcat

PS: I remember onetime at Christmas we were at my mom's home and dinner was ready and my brother and his fifth wife were at the hospital since neither one watched what they ate. Both were diabetic.
We had waited and I said, the food is getting cold
let's eat and let them eat when they get here. When they arrived they sat down and ate and then got up and left. The rest of us helped mom cleaning up and washing the dishes. My brother made decent money working about 35 years in a Super Fresh grocery store. He went there after serving 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. He never owned any property and only had one decent car.

Jeff,

I invite a mix of family, neighbors, friends, etc.

When you get here, you get something to do, set table, get chairs, cut ham, mix drinks, cut the bird...

All that and you still have to get into line to fill you plate, then the race to who says prayer first, because we eat after prayer, hehe.

I like it that way. All are involved and seem to enjoy the kitchen antics.
