Sorry for your trouble (Whatever the exact problem was) and your story is one I've heard countless times. Sure, Harbor Freight stuff is cheap, I've owned some myself, HOWEVER its when it fails perhaps the price wasn't really all that cheap due to parts or service OR LACK THEREOF GRRRRRRRR......... A Honda or Yamaha costs wayyyyyyyyyy more but if they break (which they usually DO NOT) you can get them fixed.

Just saying, its a persons own hard earned money and they should buy what they can afford, I do that myself.

Many people buy from Harbor Freight for the following reasons:

I needed a MIG welder for a couple of small welding jobs. This is a tool that I use only a few times a year. As such, cannot justify (or afford) spending over $1000 on a Miller welder. The HF welder did the job admirably, and is now available for occasional usage.

On occasion, I have the need to go to a local u-pull-it junkyard to get a part or two. I am NOT taking my expen$ive Snap-on sets of sockets and wrenches! Once again, HF to the rescue. If I lose or break a socket, I can take comfort in knowing that I don't have a lot invested.

Harbor Freight brings otherwise unaffordable tools into the realm of the home user or occasional user. Tolls that would otherwise be simply too expensive for occasional use.
