Need to replace the plexiglass window in my blast cabinet and was wondering wouldn"t glass hold up much better?
Also where could you get the tear off sheets to protect the inside of the window.

Thanks.

Glass holds up much better than plexiglass, tempered glass better yet,I bought a roll of plastic film from either Farm and Fleet or Menards and cut it to size and put it on the inside of the glass, much cheaper than the ones sold for the job and protect the glass just as well.

My blasting cabinmet has both shatter proof glass plus plexiglass window . I got my repacement sticking film thru TIPS . Maybe Eastwood has it also . I would only use as what you bought it as . For some reason , the cabinets are designed that way . God bless , Ken

A piece of window screen covering the glass on the inside helps the glass last a lot longer. You can see through it and it deflects most of the sand before it touches glass. Maybe not as good if you're using glass beads. I use it on the lens of my blasting hood, too. Use the regular steel screen. Aluminum is to shiny and plastic doesn't hold up.

Use tempered safety-glass, or as I did on my cabinet, 1/4" Polycarbonate (same stuff they make plastic safety glasses out of) .

I use regular window glass covered with plexiglass on the outside. Tractor supply sell the tear off sheets to fit their blaster but I dunno what size they are.

You can't. Just bought 2 pcs 12X 46 for an odd sized exterior door Ordered it from a glass dealer who ordered it from the manufacturer. $85 but still cheaper than replacing the door.
