That voltage regulator, wiring mess i had was straightened out. All the wires from the generator to the voltage regulator had continuity. I wired the amp gauge correctly as John t and JMOR instructions.Voltage at battery read less volts engine running than shut off. Replaced voltage regulator and am now getting 14.4 or so volts with engine running. The amp gauge needle is quivering like a flag blowing in a hard wind. Is the quivering amp needle anything to be concerned about? Thanks for your help, one more little problem fixed.
