PARK toolboxes

Anyone ever hear of PARK toolboxes made in Grant Park IL.? Not much info on the net, a poster on another tool board believes they may have been sold through Sears in the 50's and 60's
I just picked up a model 84449 to use as a chainsaw toolbox and I think it will fit the bill just fine. Looks like a carpenter's toolbox to hold hand saws, a level and a long narrow tray for odds and ends.
I'll post a picture later today.

My first toolbox was a Park. Mom and Dad got it for me for Christmas in 72' or 73'. I still have it. I'm sure it likely came from Sears & Roebuck. It's stood up to a lot of years of use riding on tractors and in trucks, so it's worth it.

Here's a couple pictures.

I live about 30 miles from Grant Park and had no idea Park toolboxes had been made there. I've got a few Park toolboxes.
I'd be surprised if Sears sold them. One of the Park boxes I have belonged to my Dad. I suspect he bought it at a mom and pop hardware store.

I have had two identical park toolboxes for many years.
Each contains the same number and type of tools including everything from pliers, screwdrivers, ballpeen hammers, adj. wrenches and gear wrenches
to hoseclamp pliers and putty knives.
I carry one in my truck at all times and the other sits in my shop for quick access of my most used tools.
They're not the best but they certainly serve the purpose.

Another old name quality product destroyed by the cheaper at any cost crowd and the people who buy the junk.
