Driveway crack filler

I need to fill a crack between drive and garage foundation. It appears the blacktop has shrunk away from the foundation. I would like to seal the crack before winter so water won'y get in. Thanks

I forget what the product is called but your local concrete dealer should be able to hook you up with quart size caulking tubes of the correct product to seal blacktop to foundation. It stays flexible and is grey in color. The box stores won't likely have it. Go to a concrete dealer or cement block dealer.

Steve,
We used Lexal before on other things, it does work for us. Link shows it does work with asphalt, and is better than silicone caulk. Stretches and expands 400% more than silicone and does seal great.
Hope this helps you.

Pops, I think you're talking about SIKLAFLEX, we use it on
concrete cracks, don't know why it wouldn't work on
blacktop. Been told that's what they use to stick the
reflectors in the roads. Home Despot has started to carry it.

Yes, there is a gray urethane product for cracks in foundations, concrete etc. Spendy but worth it.

Ray,
Yes, I think it was a Sikla product but not as runny as the stuff they use for reflectors. Thanks for jogging my memory.

Yeah, I forgot about the runny stuff. The SIKAFLEX 1A is the
stiffer stuff, the SIKAFLEX SL (for self leveling) is the runny
stuff....Thanks.

I've stuffed old garden hoses into straight gaps like that. The hose will flex to keep the gap sealed as the gap expands and contracts with the weather.

you can also go to a sealcoat dealer or some lumber yards have it and buy asphalt crack sealer by the gallon its designed for this purpose, if the crack is deep due to water running off the roof into it, put some silica sand in the crack first and tamp it down to put a bottom in it then use the crack sealer ive sealcoated driveways for many years and this stuff stays put if the directions are followed on the bottle
