Yes Armstrong is good. It's now part of Apex group
that also does gear wrench, lufkin, diamond, Jacobs
and KD. Previousy they had ties to MATCO

You never really heard of any American made tools that were made poorly. That style ratchet was used by a few makers including Craftsman.I would like to pay a dollar for that at a sale. Maybe two but it looks as if someone hammered with it . It has screws to take apart and service or clean and grease it. Yes I think it is a good one.

I think APEX Tool Group buys the rights to use old USA made tools and has them manufactured in CHINA. Be careful and look to see where a tool is made. Just because it has a well known American name from the past doesn't mean it is still American. I don't buy anything that says APEX Tool Group for that reason.

Yes, they closed the Jacobs Chuck plant in Clemson SC... I think all the Jacobs Chucks are from China now.... Sad..

My boss found an old rusted up one in somebodys hay field last year. Took it in to a dealer and they sent it to the factory. About a week later they sent him a brand new one. Must be a good company.

I've got an older set of large Armstrong wrenches and a 1/2" drive socket set. Wouldn't trade them for a toolbox full of anything.

Just bought an Armstrong stud remover. It was still made in USA.
