Sheet metal Nibblers

Looking at purchasing one. Any comment of which brand and model is good and which to stay away from. Thanks in advance. J.

A while back I got one of those HF jobs and, like most other air tools, as long as I have kept it well oiled it has worked great. One caution with these things; The little half moon cutouts it makes just love to stick in your boot soles and dislodge all over the house or any place else. For that reason I like to cut over a bucket or with a vacuum running.

I inherited a Bosch nibbler.

Bosch makes high-quality tools, but the replacement cutters are priced so high, it does not pay to buy them!

I ended up going to Harbor Freight. ....I can buy several complete nibblers for less than the replacent parts from Bosch.

So far, the Harbor Freight nibblers have done all I"ve asked of them.

John,what are you going to cut?. I have a nibbler and a set of power shears,but the Milwaukee metal cutting saw puts them both to shame. It will cut 18 ga stainless or 5/8 in plate with the same results. If you are cutting curves or circles now thats a different story.I have had good luck with Makita.
