When they contacted me they wanted the bank info so they could get the pay-off to put a value on it. Being somewhat distraught not knowing if my kneecap was going to heal, being stuck inside for the next 3 months, and on pain meds, I screwed up and gave it to them. Then after two months they were threatening to drop my claim and leave me with it, even with a couple dealers telling them that if they could fine a Chevy- ANY Chevy- with my miles, in whatever condition/configuration, for that price, they would buy them all day long. And the comparable vehicles they found were all higher-mileage, busted-up ones, and said the ones I found with my miles and options were not representative of what I had, or too far away. I don't see how an hour and a half, today, is too far to go to look at a truck.

I should have got a lawyer involved, and had my phone not deleted that first message after 30 days, I would have.

Must have needed the extra cash for that NASCAR sponsorship deal they had just signed.

They also screwed my uncle when my cousin was born, he was headed home for evening chores and a drunk with a history of pulling out in front of people and suing for injuries, did it to him, and instead of fighting it they paid the claim. Said my uncle had too much air in his tires, which he did, 41 instead of 35 PSI, but that much difference can just about be accounted for on a hot day after airing up in the cool of the morning and parking on asphalt all day.

Once my grandmother dies, it will be the end of our family doing any business with nationwide.
