What gun would you like to own?

What gun would like to own that you don't already have? In my case it would be a Colt SAA revolver with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. Always thought the Colt SAA was about the best looking handgun ever made besides being simple and fairly rugged. Just never thought I could afford one. So what about the rest of you? Which one would you like to own?

I would love to have a .300 Weatherby mag. Or any caliber Weatherby rifle. Just amazing firearms.

I know of 2 that I would like to have. #1 is a Tokarev 38 or 40. I know where one is that is for sale but at $1200 plus it does not fit the budget. The other would be a 50cal

Like most of all to have back ones stolen from me including an LC Smith Double Barrell and handmade over n under 20 Gauge a great Uncle gave me. In addition to those, Id like to have a Parker double barrel and a Fox Sterlingworth double.

Our local Walmart has been a pretty good place to get ammo lately. About a week ago I picked up a couple boxes of 9mm for a neighbor. They also had 380, 40s&W, and 44mag. The last time I was in Cabelas (Omaha) they had about any hunting ammo you would want. Local sporting goods store had 9mm and 45acp.

I would like to have a Winchester 1886 chambered for 40/82. Last time I saw one at a gun show the asking price was $7000.

7mm-08 Cuz I don't have one. 243 Ackley Imp. I shoot coyotes for fun and sell hides in the winter. So I built a 22-243 launches a 75 A-Max @ 3800 fps. Built on a Mauser 98 and a 26 inch Shilen tube. Fun gun to shoot !!!!

I can honestly say I have each one that I ever wanted, not that many though. My one hope is
that with the current ridiculous Political scene
I can keep owning them and punch as much paper
targets as possible, I don't hunt but I'll shoot
them with a camera.

Springfield M1A. I drooled all over for one back when they were 1200 dollars. The last one I saw in a gunshop had a price tag of over 3200. Joe

The original 86 Win in 45/90 I passed at $400.00 30 years ago. A Shilo Sharps in 45/90. Those are on the bucket list.

WHICH "Henry"? A rifle made by Henry Repeating Arms? Or a replica of the original 1860 Henry made by Uberti? I have the latter in .45 Colt.

I'd really like to own a true Draganov in 7.62x54R, possibly an M60, definately a MaDeuce, a .30 caliber Browning (water or air cooled), not to mention quite a few others. But, since we're talking BIG guns in some of the other posts, I'd really love a Phalanx. Yes, Phalanx, CWIS, or in true military jargon, a Sea Whiz or maybe R2D2. I've seen them fire for training when I was in the Navy and they are impressive guns to say the least. Where some have a big BANG every time they fire, all that massive amount of firepower does is create a long winded whiizzing sound..... Check out the video on the link. Watching them fire at night is really impressive.
Phalanx

A few years back, I had a beautiful .257 Weatherby in my hands. Gorgeous wood, my dream caliber, with a price I couldn"t even consider. Put it back on the gunstore rack with a tear in my eye. Told my wife about it, she said, "I wouldn"t have been upset if you had brought it home." Don"t think she knew the price. I still would like one like that. Don"t need it, just want it. Life will go on if I don"t get one.

S&W 27 .357, Ruger Redhawk .357, pre-64 Winchester 70 in .243 and .220 Swift, Rem 1100 in any gauge, another Winchester 42 with vent rib, Winchester 62 and 63 to go with my two 61's. Another M-14, Ruger Mini-30, S&W 41 .22, Winchester 92 and 86. Need to start on 1971 JD4320 restoration first!

TWIN VULCAN'S with a johndeer cab mount and 40 rail car loads of HE-TRACERS , I would drive it any where ,
ps Im in mississippi open carry law goes in effect JULY 1st yee-haw

Any of my Grandfather's. I would have to if our sneeky uncle hadn't sold them without giving us a chance to buy them.

I always wished I'd bought the Browning version of the Winchester 1886 back in the eighties when Browning produced them for a few years. If I ever own one, it will probably have to be the later Winchester version with its silly tang safety.

I wish I could have had the money to buy the 100th Anniversary John Wayne Commemorative Winchester Model 92 Carbine that was sold in 2007.

I'd like a Spencer rifle, being a Louis Lamour fan. Not in the original 56 RF, but in a CF version. I'd like a good 3" Ithaca 12 ga and 20 ga to round out my collection, a Savage M-24 in 22 Hornet over 20 ga, a Savage M23 in 22 Hornet (again to round out my collection), a Savage 99 in every possible variation and caliber (Savage never made a bad 99!!!!, a 92 Winchester clone or Marlin 94 in 357. I'd like to be able to afford to get my Marlin 1894 32-20 and my M-39 DeLuxe professionally rebuilt by Turnbull. I want a matched set of CPA Stevens 44's in 22lr, 32-40 and 45-70.

I'd like a Smith M-1955, M-16 32Mag and a better 1911 45ACP. Mostly I'd like NYs ridiculous SAFE Act to be abolished!

Ammo avialability is getting better here in VA. I got some 22LRs at the hardware store 2 weeks ago, and they had more when I was in there this weekend.

Gander Mountain seemed to have most everything except 22LR Friday.

I think the shortage may be ending.

The shelves in 3 local Wal-marts have been naked for months. Ammo comes in on a truck overnight and at 7:00 AM they are standing in line to buy it. It never makes it to the shelf. No one around here can find a box of 22 LR.

I'd like to own a GAU-8/A Avenger, which happens to be the seven barrel, Gatling type cannon that is able to fire 4200 rounds of 30mm 15 oz. projectiles per minute. It happens to be surrounded by the Air Force's Fairchild A10 Thunderbolt tank killer also known as the Warthog, so I guess I'd have to buy that too! The Warthog has the distinction of being one of the only war planes (or maybe the only) planes that was designed around a gun. Responsible for taking out TONS of Hussein's tanks in Desert Storm as the rounds are armor piercing and had a core of depleted uranium.

A sharps in 45-70 would be nice. Some of those other calibers that have been mentioned are very expensive to get let a lone shoot. If you can find cases for them you would have to load them yourself.
Though another case for each caliber would be nice to have also.

A friend of mine does period restorations of classic homes. While pulling apart an old attic he found a museum quality Spencer and the old woman home owner gave it to him.

I'm ashamed to say I HATE your friend!

It's not the first time it happened (he's been doing it for decades). In one of those houses he found (and if he didn't get it for free it was close to it) a Remington Rangemaster 22 in excellent condition. I think it had a 28" heavy barrel and one of those two foot long Ulerti 3-12 (I seem to remember) power scopes on it. It had the single shot insert but I was able to adapt a standard Remington 7 shot magazine to fit it for him(the originals are impossible to find). It also had the original wood cheek piece riser for it but I didn't see it.

Re-enacter group had a little note about a shop in Texas that had some Spencer conversions to fire 50-70 centerfire, same shop had Sharps Carbines with same caliber conversion. Original recievers, no 4473 forms needed and some of them were used in civil war movies-- that was original reason for the conversions of the Spencers early 1950s, at least this method conversion. Sharps conversion breech block dates to 1870 or so when the 50-70 was still a current cartridge just before 45-70 became main army standard issue. If you find a Spencer in 44-40 with a extra date on reciever or barrel, Winchester markings you might want to get some heart attack medicine before asking price. RN

I suppose I should 'fess up. I got a Winchester 52 for $5.00. Honest. Long story. Spent $300.00 or more on a period correct Lyman Jr Targetspot. What a rifle!
