I just recently bought a T20. Engine block Z120-600. This is my first tractor. It has some problems. When I first got the TO20 it did run. I drove it around the yard(flat level). I decided to drive it in a field(plowed field. Tractor sputtered and engine died. I finally got tractor back to barn. Now Tractor starts, runs for few seconds then engine stops running. The rod attached to choke is about three feet long and is very loose. Do not know if it is correct part. I am wondering if I might have got trash in carburetor. Gas tank did smell like varnish or old fuel. Any suggestion of where I should start.
