Morse Taper reamers

I was reading about reamers last night and it mentioned that reams were available to rough and finish ream bore (holes) for Morse taper shanks. Who has them and at how much expense

I get most of my machine shop supplies, drill
bit, taps, dies,carbide burrs,helicoils, Screw
pitch gauges, REAMERS, from "Victor Machinery
Exchange". They have a fine printed catalog, and
are on the web at: www.victornet.com
The do have Morse taper reamers. Price varies by
size.
I have never received any Chinese merchandise
from them. Some are from Eastern Europe, or India
but are of fine quality. I'm happy with them!

I believe you are out around me somewhere. T & S tool in Holland Oh can get you just about anything machining related. Prices not too bad either.

I would go where the pros shop.....Manhattan Supply Company or MSC for short. McMaster Carr might have them also.

We've always used Hannibal Carbide. Their Morse taper depends on finish bore diameter; IE you can't get a 4" reamer in #1 MT.

They've got rough and finish reamers in HSS, carbide tip, and solid carbide.

They can custom build and regrind. McMaster only sells "disposable" reamers.

Be extra careful when buying a precision cutting tool on ebay. I bought a #3MT reamer from "tools4cheap" years ago. The thing was off by a hundredth on the narrow side of the taper!! Later on I found out there was a whole bunch of them shipped over here from China. Even saw some right in the MSC catalog, listed with the wrong dimension.

I check the diameter of every tool before I use it every time whether it is a cutter, reamer or drill bit new or used. I thought everyone did. I have been buying machine tool on Ebay for a coupla years to use in my mold building shop. Only bad one I received was a carbide boring bar. The company sent me a different one after I sent him a picture of the chipped carbide.
