Paint vs Pigmented stain

I need to paint a composite wood exterior porch one paint manufacturer says use paint and one manufacturer says pigmented stain. What is the difference?

If it was wood I would go with the stain but being composite I would rather use paint. The stain won't penetrate very well into the composite and would have to be recoated very often to maintain the appearance.

If the chuck it is a tapered shaft most of those drill presses use a JT-33 tapered chuck which you could get anywhere. See if you can find any reference to that number in your manual.

Most but not all outdoor composite material I have dealt with is far more water and rot resistant than wood. I have had some 6x6 post around my driveway for 6 years that came from a playground that was 10 years old when torn down. Look almost new and was never treated with any thing. A small section of my deck is composit and is no worse off than when installed 5 years ago. I realy don't think stain would penitrate what I have. I suggest you follow mfgrs instructions and check warranty.
