Pioneer FarmSaw fuel cap

Looking for fuel cap ( NOS / used) or substitute, for Pioneer FarmSaw. Runs like a scalded dog but fuel cap beginning to swell due to good 'ol Ethanol.

If not, does anyone know the pitch (thread size) of the threads in the gas tank? If so, maybe I can find a die that can be used to reform the threads in the cap I now have.

Guys... use the pretty blue stuff in the funny
bottle!!!! Startron enzime that you add to the fuel
So far it has worked great for the past two years.
Most stores sell it for around $6.00 to a max of
$8.oo. You only need a little but all of my carbs
and rubber hosses have been just dandy.

The Farmsaws used the same cap as that whole series IRIC. All the 12 and 1400's I think. Ebay usually has a few.

The swelling issue seems worse to me with Pioneer than any other brand. I've taken a hacksaw and file to 3 or 4 now. Takes some time to work them down.

Thanks for the suggestion & info. Will give 'em a buzz.

Look into older Poulan saws. We dropped a tree on a Poulan (late 80s/early90s model) and took the Poulan and Farmsaw to the shop and had one good one made. It was about 4 different colors.

If you look up the safety data sheet on Startron you may change your mind. Most of the snake oils contain naptha.Seafoam contains iso alcohol, naptha an mineral oil.
