Need a quality battery charger for tractor,6&12volt, car and
motorcycle AGM batteries. Something I can move around . So
many out there, could use some help deciding what is best.
Thanks to anyone who has some experienced
recommendations.

I bought the harbor freight high price unit on special about three months ago. LOVE it! It was something like $69.oo and on special for $49.oo. Two amp trickle monitored, 4 amp- 10 amp and full blown boost to start. It will spin a 10hp Kohler engine over on boost with an almost dead battery! Dawg gone so far it has worked great. It is about the size of a shoe box with the meter on the left. Also prety heavy. I have at least ten different types of chargers that I have gathered and repaired through the years but this bruiser is the bomb. Jeffcat

I have one from Wards, I've had it about 40 years.
My neighbor gave me his battery charger made by Schumacher Electric. It's a 10 amp charger, both chargers can be used on 6 or 12 volt batteries. I've used the Wards charger on motorcycle batteries. Hal

Never really counted how many battery's I maintain but I have about 1/2 doz chargers. I have a couple of the Harbor Freight 29 dollar 2-10-55 amp 12 and 6volt chargers. I use them on about everything and they seem to work ok. I carry one in my truck to plug into my generator to use to jump other things with. My favorite one is a craftsman thats over 40 years old, its just a small 10 amp. I have had new craftsman and I don't like them and they don't seem to build them like they use too.

This will do it all, gell, flooded and AGM. A little pricey but it will desulfate and float charge. I've had one for about 2 years. It's always connected to a battery. So far, it's never damaged a battery. It has improved the CCA.

My favorite is a Century that has 6&12 volt, 2,15 and 100 amp boost. I have another with 50 amp boost and 100 is much better, it will spin a smaller engine. (lawn tractor or 4-wheeler)
My biggest frustration is the damn plastic cords nowadays! In cold weather they are so stiff you are scared to unroll them!
