Thank you to each of you for your wise input. I plan on going quick detach tour pak. I want to keep my Road King just that, a simple, full size Harley-Davidson touring bike. Pak will be snapped on only when needed.

Im glad you didn't get mad at my comment . An old Sam Kennison routine came to mind about guys with trailers and loaded up bikes. The way Kennison yelled when he delivered a punch line was great. Mine didn't come across like that of coarse. The punch line was there is something for those guys "IT'S CALLED A CAR" .
