does any one know the name of a piece that will thread on a threaded rod with a stud sticking out with a cotter pin goes thru need one and cant find the name of it to get one sorry not a very good description.it needs to thread up and down for adjustment. Thanks

This screws up and down a treaded rod with a 1/2" stud that sticks out were you can attach linkage to it and able to adjust it up and down

Are you thinking of a do-hickey.

Seriously, you could be describing 5 different things. Top-link for tractor maybe.?

it is round it has 3/8 24 fine thread that goes thru it with a 1/2 stud on the other side so you can adjust it up and down for adjustment what is on the 1/2 stud. Sorry not the best description.

It could be a thread on clevis. Kind of a U shape with a pin through it on one end and threads onto a shaft on the other end. Used a lot on throttle linkages, brake linkages etc. because it's adjustable.

it is straight with one side machined down to a 1/2 stud were a cotter key can go thru the other side has a 3/8 24 thread

I think what I am looking for is called a trunion used in clutch and throttle adjustment. Thanks everyone for the help.
