With the right cam and a long-runner intake, you can really wake up that 360 as a truck engine. A 4 inch stroke with a stock 360 bore comes out to 402 cubic inches, with a 340 bore (which is bigger than the 360's) yields 408 inches.
The new Hemi bolts in place of the earlier LA/Magnum engines, and Indy Cylinder Head is pushing them out to 440 inches.
For better bang-for-the-buck, you can swap a set of Magnum heads onto the pre-magnum block. People say it can't be done without a bunch of machining, but all it takes is a magnum-specific intake and magnum lifters and pushrods. They oil the top end through the pushrod like a Chevy, instead of the rocker pedestals.
