Trying to figure out what this is. It has script Ford stamped in it. It looks like a small tube could go through it. There is a roller on the left that pivots with the lever on the right.

It looks like it is probably the roller assembly out of a model T ignition timer.
Yep. EXACTLY!
Here it is, with the 4-contact housing it "wipes" around, energizing (actually GROUNDING) one side of each of the 4 buzz coil primaries in firing order.

It fit over the front end of the camshaft, which protruded through the timing gear cover.
Here's a cutaway view of the timer unit, mounted to an engine.

Thanx! I thru one of those in my junk drawer a few years back. Now I know what it is. If it didn't have the FORD script on it, I would have probably heaved it.
