Grew up riding them on the farm. First few years we had enough snow to ride them all but most Winter long. Well these past few days with our wonderful spring snowstorm we had that dumped atleast 10 inches of wet heavy snow. Much needed moisture for sure. Just a little late I think. Anyways, there was a gal that got stranded in her vehicle. She was less then one mile away from home decided to leave her car and walk home in the blizzard. Called her husband to tell him what she was doing then contacted their 19 yr old son also. They boy went after his mom. Wouldn't you? . So, this storm came rolling in late Monday night. As of Tuesday morning neither the son or the mother had been found alive yet. The moms car was on the shoulder of the highway 87 just south of the little incorporated town of Berea, Ne. She was less then a mile from home. She left the vehicle alone and started walking what she must have thaught was in the direction of home which was North of where her car had been abandoned. She went walking which was supposed to be meeting her son in the middle of the walk. All day Ne State Patrol, Sheriffs, and the locals on snowmobiles were searching for the missing two. About 6 pm last night their 19 year old son was found in a abandoned farm house he was cold, hungry and had some frostbite two and half miles WEST of their house. He'd gotten lost in the storm luckily he found the house. The mother wasn't so fortunate. Her body was discovered in a feild by the locals that came out in this nasty storm on the snowmobiles about a half mile WEST of the highway where
she left her car and decided to walk home herself. Prayers are with the family as this hard time in the life of a Western Nebraska family. I am telling the people who read this what ever you do in a snowstorm. If you get stuck stranded and think you can make it home walking. THINK AGAIN before you close the truck door or the car door behind you. As this maybe the last time your loved ones see you alive. Thanks for reading.

That's so so Sad . One never knows ; so a hug , kiss & Prayer before bedtime & before departing in the mornings wil never be regretted . My prayers for the family . God bless
