I guess a cat cud be called a tool, if they catch unwanted mice.
A cat that catches mice is called a mouser.
If a cat catches moles would they be called a moleser? Or if they catch voles, would he be called a voleser?
But what wood you all call a cat that catches rabbits?

I think that a cat that catches moles is called a moler (or molar if one is to believe the spell check program). One that catches rabbits is a harder question.

Do not know the proper name.
Reminds me of a dark and cold winter evening I was plowing wheat stubble. In the lights of the tractor I saw a large cat dragging a dead hare (larger than a rabbit) in the furrow ahead of me. Because of his load the cat could not succeed keeping his headway, so the cat dropped the hare and ran away. Cannot tell if the cat actually caught and killed the hare or found it dead.

You could have stopped and let it drag it out of the furrow. It was probably hungry. That is what I would have done, but of course I love cats.

"But what wood you all call a cat that catches rabbits?"...

I call him Meow. He's my barn cat.
Not thrilled about, but he does keep the rodent population way down tho.

Happy Easter...don t. ....
