At least some things don't change in some areas, I suppose it still takes place around here, but back then and even now it was always greatly appreciated as it put food on the table if you had a successful hunt, only trouble with a borrowed rifle, you need to get used to it and how it shoots first. I'll bet that made your day, who would not be happy with a '94 !

I have a target range close to the house so making sure the person knows the rifle is easy and I do make sure they know how it shoots etc. The 94 is the 2nd one we have in the house. We also have a 94 in the common 30/30 with a scope on it

Thats a good thing, then no surprises in the field. There's a small saw mill up near the other place we have, and the owner has a nice reloading set up right in his office, with a back door range right out of the office, just has to swing the door open, it was the place you might recall the post subject recently of farm trucks, was that place in the photo with my old F600. So when he's not "saywering" he's likely reloading. He also keeps a keg on tap, the man enjoys his beer to no end.
