Today, when I pulled out of the driveway, the StabiliTrak light came on in the gauge cluster and a message said that the StabiliTrak was off. Then the check engine light came on. It was running kinda rough, too. The owner"s manual says the StabiliTrak light often comes on when there are other problems because it does the vehicle scan for other systems. Sure enough, after I killed the engine and let it set for 15 minutes, the StabiliTrak does not light up. But the check engine light stays on and it still runs rough. I plugged in my OBDII scanner, and thee codes came up: PO171, p1174 and P1175. I found a service info. bulletin online pertaining to this year model, and it sounds like they"re saying it"s dirty injectors. Will it damage the engine to drive 20 miles to the dealer"s shop for them to pour in the injector cleaner? Does anybody have experience with this problem?

No, John. It still has the original air filter on it. I bought this pickup new, and I've only put 12K miles on it.

Are you sure those are not P0174, and P0175 codes? If so, just lean and rick indicators, and should not be an issue driving to dealer. I would not think dirty injectors with just 12K on it though. Barely ready for second oil change (I have a 11 pickup with same engine).

Thanks, Ron. I've enjoyed this pickup, but I don't drive it much. I had just filled the tank earlier today, and I'm wondering if I might have bought some contaminated fuel. The code reader showed PO171, P1174 and P1175.

OK , on one of the Chevy boards I go to 2 of those codes gey asked about once or twice a week and 9 times out of 10 the person asking the question has put an aftermarket air intake on.

All it takes is one tank of dirty gas. A few years back a local chain got a load of bad gas. We had several pickups, two company cars, my personal car and new Harley all came down with injector problems and/or clogged fuel filters all in one week's time.
