I need a machine shop or somebody that can turn some wheel adapters for me.
I want to fit different wheels on wagons or truck frames. Like take old 17" split rims and get 20" wheels on there. or adapt 8 bolt pickup wheels to fit on where some old 5 bolt wagon wheels were. Some of it is the lack of 15" tires available and the odd ball wheels on the wagons.
I have plenty of old 22.5 and 24.5 tires to use.
My plan was to use a plate about an 1" thick counter bore the holes for the wheel and counter bore the holes for the nuts so they don't interfere with the other wheel or hub. Might have to use heavier plates in some cases.
I need this to be close to central MI.
Thanks

I'm not sure I'm understanding the mental picture you are describing but if you are looking for something like a 1" thick steel wheel spacer, I had 4 made so I could use modern 6-bolt rims on a John Deere 953 running gear that did not come with it's original "reversed", in my opinion, wheels. I have my work done by H&H Welding in Mason, MI and they built those custom spacers within a couple of days. I don't know where you are in central Michigan but Mason is about 7 miles south of Lansing. H&H Welding does excellent, high quality work. My spacers were made from 1/4" plate and I was charged around $27 each, labor and material.

Hi Joe. I am wanting to be able to use 6 bolt wheels on 5 bolt hubs and such. I thought if it was about an inch thick. Then the heads for the bolts to the wheel could be counter bored so they would be flat with the back of the plate. Then if the holes for the bolts on the hub were counter bored they would also be flat with the plate so the wheels would fit up tight to the plate. This would require a slight center to be left on the middle of the plate to act as a hub point for the new wheel.
I will have to see about contacting them. Mason is about 40-45 miles from me. I'm in Owosso.

Go see Dan in Durand, Their machine shop sets right next to the old train depot next to Perrin const. He makes parts for me all the time and real resonable on prices.
