I have that exact model...even has the little hooked blocks pictured....bought in 1970s when local Ford car dealer sold out. Son has it now since I built a hyd press. Interesting new price of $48. I wonder what year?

My son was trying to get a bull gear off an MF 85 axle . He tried it on the press where he works, about 35 ton. NO GO. Took it to the MF dealer near Syr. Don't recall how many ton press they had, but NO GO. So he made sure he could get all the parts if something broke, and took it to the county garage where they had a press like that and started to press it off, and soon a big BANG and the shaft moved a 1/4" Then the shaft came out easy. Now he has a press like that in his own shop.

I like the way you can "Feel" what is happening with a screw type press. Lot less likely to damage the workpiece than a hydraulic press is..

We had one not quite like this at school, it didn't have anywhere near the oomph of the 50 ton hydraulic. The machinist built a small hand pump for the hydraulic for when you needed some feel vs the electric pump.

Thanks for posting the neat literature! I have the exact same press and love it. Mine also has an arbor press attachment one one end. Gave $200 for it about 10 years ago, and would hate to part with it.
