What else we do at the shop

Very nice shop there. I work for a very major transformer manufacturer and we build everything in house. we cut punch and fold all our steel. Every part is made in house.
I am in electrical maint. When it breaks i find out what went wrong and make it run again.
I recognize a lot of your safety light curtians and thumb sensors.
I wish our plant was half that clean.

Thank you for letting us see.

That is an interesting vid. The place I retired from made Die Cast machines and we machined almost all over parts inhouse. We made machine from 250 ton to 2500 ton. It was the largest die cast manifacture in North America at that time. It was located in Holland Mich

We used to outsource more, but the guy who always wants to outsource jobs just put in his notice a week ago. Pretty much all the guys on the floor are jumping for joy as we all thought he was an a$$ and nobody really knew wheat he did, other than find someone who'd do our jobs for 1/4 the price.... and then we always got to fix it because it was screwed up and the parts were late, so the project was due the next day. We'll still outsource some stuff that other places can do better than us, such as tin work, but I know a lot more will stay in house unless we get swamped. Then we'll still use outside vendors.

Guys like him are what's wrong with this country.
